Subject: Upgrading TIM128 for Windows 2000

1. Because the windows 2000 do not allow the word "MODEM" in the ISDN
Manufacturer string. So if user wants to use the TIM128 with Windows 2000, user must
upgrade the TIM128 modem CIS first. Please download the file "IV300B.exe", the TIM128
modem firmware upgrade kit for windows 2000. Please extract the IV300B.exe to
local hard drive (i.e. in directory "c:\flashfs"), and then follow the instructions
in the "readme.txt" to upgrade the CIS.

2. How to install the windows 2000 driver?
The installation procedure is similar to windows 98.
   a. Please do not insert the ISDN card before the driver is installed.
   b. Please obtain the latest driver from our web site and then execute
      the files Disk1.exe, Disk2.exe, Disk3.exe, and Disk4.exe to extract
the files to the same directory (i.e. c:\TIM128).
   c. In the directory C:\TIM128, you will find four folders, DISK1, DISK2,
DISK3, and DISK4.Inside each folder, you will find an executable file
      Disk1.EXE, Disk2.EXE, Disk3.EXE, and Disk4.EXE. Execute these files to
extract the driver files to each folder.
   d. Run SETUP.EXE In DISK1 folder and follow the instructions on the
screen to install the Configuration Utility.
   e. After completing the installation, do not restart the computer.

4. The bugs list for the windows 2000 driver.
	a. TIM128 only supports the first time Plug and Play. User plugs in
the ISDN card and power on the Notebook, all of the ISDN function
should work well. If user ejects the card and then reinsert the
ISDN card when the computer is on, all of the ISDN functions will
	   be lost.
	b. If user power on the computer without inserting the ISDN card,
the very first time user plug in the ISDN card, all of the
	   functions should work well.
	c. Currently, we only provide the ISDN switch type ETSI and INS64 in
the Windows 2000 driver. The other switch type like NI1, AT&T,
Northern Telecom, will be available later this year.
	d. If user needs to remove the adapter while computer is on, please
stop the adapter before ejecting it from the computer.
